Notice is hereby given that the Annual Meeting of the members of Alcorn County Electric Power Association will be held at the Crossroads Arena, 2800 S. Harper Road, Corinth, Mississippi, on Tuesday, August 13, 2019, at 10 o’clock A.M. for the following purposes:
1. To elect one (1) Director of the Association to office for a term of three (3) years from and after the election.
2. To receive and consider the Annual Report of the Manager
3. To consider and vote upon the following amendments to the Certificate of Re-Incorporation of the Association, as approved by the Board of Directors:
a. To change the location of the principal office of the Association to 1909 South Tate Street, Corinth, Mississippi and to make the post office address of the Association P.O. Box 1590, Corinth, Mississippi 38835-1590;
b. To make the period of duration of the Association perpetual; and
c. To permit the Association to perform any and all acts permissible for electric power associations under the Mississippi Broadband Enabling Act of 2019, as amended.
4. To transact such other business as may properly come before the meeting, or any adjournment thereof.
All members are urged to attend the meeting in person or by proxy. However, 188 members must be present in person or by proxy in order to have a quorum. If you do not plan to attend in person, please obtain a proxy form at our principal office at 1909 S. Tate Street, Corinth, Miss., and execute and return same to said office prior to the meeting. Members may vote for all matters by proxy, except for the election of a Director.
